It's squatter time again! This time we're kicking off a series on Eduprotocols. If you're unfamiliar with Eduprotocols, they are ready-made lesson frameworks. Plug in your content, and you've got a lesson ready to go. The book series was written by Marlena Hebern and Jon Corippo, and are all available on Amazon... or where ever you buy books. Anyway, this Squatter is a little light on content, but look for Squatter 26, 27, and 28 (at least) to contain more great lesson frameworks from the Eduprotocols book series. If you're in Education, and have paid any attention whatsoever to the EdTech space, you've probably heard of Jake Miller. His website ( jakemiller.net ) and podcast ( Educational Duct Tape ) are staples in the EdTech community. Seriously, if you haven't checked out any of his stuff yet, you're in for a treat.  Everyone needs time away. A good mental break can be just the thing you need to come back rejuvenated and ready to go once more. Sometimes that break can be as simple as picking up a book. I've even found a mental break from reading books that apply to my professional life. It just gives me a fresh perspective to bring back to my work once I return from my book break. I am often amused at life's peculiar twists and turns. The way seemingly unrelated events transpire to create mischief at a later date often makes me smile when I look back. I love it when the Post Office drops off a book I had forgotten I ordered. Looks like over the break I'll be reading Teaching AI: Exploring New Frontiers for Learning by Michelle Zimmerman. This book was just put out by ISTE, and I'm excited about learning a thing or 20 from it.
